Reactor Innovation Driving Next Generation Nuclear Designs

Coordinators: Rachel Slaybaugh (ARPA-E) and Dr. Joseph A. King Jr.  (ARPA-E)

Date: Wednesday August 7, 2019

Time:  10:15 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

The next generation of nuclear reactors will involve different sizes, coolants and fuels, operating pressures, and operating temperatures. This diversity of reactor types will likely require a myriad of construction strategies, designs and enhanced materials.  Innovators developing these different technologies will discuss their respective designs and anticipated construction needs.
