SMiRT 25 Registration (See Instructions Below)

All participants must register and pay the appropriate registration fee.  In order to make accurate arrangements for the conference, participants are encouraged to submit their registration forms as soon as possible.  In addition, early registration will allow participants to take advantage of reduced registration fees.

SMiRT does not offer a one or two day registration.  The majority of attendees participate in the entire conference which promotes greater international exchange of information.  The complimentary events included in the registration are given below. Additional events might be added too.

  • All technical sessions, including the Plenary Sessions, Workshops, and Tutorials.
  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks
  • Vouchers for daily lunch
  • Opening reception at NASCAR Hall of Fame on Sunday August 4
  • Conference Banquet on Thursday August 8
  • Farewell Lunch on Friday August 9





Technical Tours have additional cost.

The Companion Registration is now open. Additional banquet tickets may be purchased through the Companion Registration. 

Each attendee is encouraged to complete the registration as well as the hotel accommodation as soon as possible.  To receive the reduced rates, you must register and pay by the dates shown below.

Full Time students can benefit from reduced registration fee. Part-time students are not eligible for this discount. Full time students will need to email a letter of proof issued by their institution that clearly indicates the Degree, Major, Expected Date of Graduation and Full Time status of the student. Registration Instructions

Before you get started you will need the ID numbers for your papers and a method of payment for registration.

Important: Each author/coauthor is allowed a maximum of 5 papers to count towards one registration. ID's of each paper can be found by logging into your account via the SMiRT 25 website.

Registration Process

Where to begin? 

  1. 1.       You will be directed to a secure university owned website for Registration and Financial Transaction.
  2. 2.    Choose New User on the first page. All participants registering for the conference have to create a unique profile for this registration site.  The Account Setup page appears.     

    Please note that each user will have to create a New User account on the registration website. This site is not the same as that used for submitting the papers for SMiRT 25.
  3. 3.     Complete all Required Fields (designated with a *)
  4. 4.     In the Title/Job box, input the employment title as you would like it listed in conference program and nametag material.
  5. 5.     In the Company box, input the name of your company as you would like it listed in conference program and nametag material.
  6. 6.     Phone numbers will NOT be listed in programing material.
  7. 7.    You will be asked if you are staying at conference hotel, The Westin Charlotte. We need this information for conference planning.

    Please note you will need to submit hotel reservations directly through the SMiRT 25 conference website.
  8. 8.    You will be asked to select the Technical Tour that you may like to join. Please note that there may be an additional charge for this.
  9. 9.      Please make sure you click the box to agree to the terms and conditions, including the refund policy. No refunds will be issued for this event.
  10. 10.     Complete the credit card information for payment.
  11. 11.   You would receive an email confirmation to ensure your registration is complete which will also contain the receipt of your payment.
